Information About Dave - Edinburgh teacher

Personal Description:

Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, I am an experienced professional drummer available for live, studio and teaching work.

I began playing at the age of 14 when my Dad got a drum set for himself at Christmas. Needless to say that kit soon migrated into my possession and he has never looked back.

With an insatiable appetite for knowledge and a natural ability to perform on stage, I quickly became an active member of his local music scene and participated in as many projects as possible. I continue to hone my craft through lessons with some of the best in the world.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught thousand of hours of lessons to countless students over 8 years.
I have taught everyone from the casual player to professionals and everything in between.
Through my own study with some of the best players in the world including Stanton Moore, Thomas Lang and Jojo Mayer I can pass on techniques and a unique insight not available from other teacher.

I have a 100% pass rate in any exam my students have sat and former students have gone onto attend colleges and universities and even become teachers themselves.

Tutoring Approach:

Above all else I try to plant the seed of exploration and fun in a students brain.
I teach all students to have a deep understanding of the styles they play so that they can better perform them.

I teach technique so that they can express themselves musically wherever and whatever they play.
