Personal Description:

I have been working in the music industry as a guitar player for many years and have been playing the guitar for over 25 years. I am self taught from the age of 15. I started out learning songs by rock bands that I had grown up listening to, but quickly branched out into other directions as I have a real diverse approach to music and am always learning new techniques and styles.
I have many years of experience as a guitarist and I have played in many signed and unsigned UK bands, touring the country and playing with or supporting some of the worlds biggest acts. I have played guitar and recorded many times as a session musician on other artists original releases and tribute albums as well as TV, video game and movie work.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching guitar for 20 years now and have taught a wide range of students from all kinds of backgrounds, across all abilities, aged from 8 to 60+.
I teach a range of styles and techniques ranging from classical to heavy metal and anything in between. Basically if there is a certain style you want to learn then you can guarantee I can teach it.

Tutoring Approach:

I mostly teach 1 to 1 in the students home. I find this environment helps the student feel relaxed and less nervous. I personalise every lesson to suit the student, everyone learns at their own pace. I believe in making the lessons as much fun as possible as I believe that if you enjoy what you are playing you will learn at a faster rate. I don't put the students under any pressure and will do my best to tailor the lessons to best suit the individual.
Lessons can be either 1 hour or 1/2 hour in length.
I am willing to teach group lessons, up to 5 people maximum for which discounted prices are applicable.
