Personal Description:
Hello!
My name is Daniel and thank you for viewing my profile!
I have had a varied musical upbringing, being educated via various different methods! I feel that music education should always be fun and it should enhance one`s life!
As a teacher, I believe that every student has each unique individual needs and it is very important to me that every student always feels good about their progress within my lessons. I often find that when the students are enjoying their time with learning the violin, it becomes a very productive and fulfilling activity!
I love to promote quality from an early age, as it motivates them to achieve their best, whilst never comprising on the fun of making music!
I am a freelance Musician and I am currently working for Southbank Sinfonia, Sinfonia Cymru. I've had students win scholarships to music schools, private schools. Every student has so far achieved distinction in their ABRSM working with me!
Tutoring Experience:
Educated at:
Royal Academy of Music Junior Department
The Purcell School of Music
The Royal College of Music (Degree)
Taught at Tri-borough Music Hub, The master Music school, Fireworks music school, St. paul`s cathedral school.
Currently teaching at London Music Centre.
Grade 8 Distinction (awarded Ralph Basset Award for the highest mark in the county, after 2 years from starting violin).
All my students have received distinctions so far in their grade exams.
Tutoring Approach:
Music lessons should always be fun but productive! I believe that once students get a sense of achievement through music the possibilities for them are endless!
I usually teach beginners basic foundations through different exercises, whilst always trying to incorporate a piece of music as well. I feel ABRSM are a good way to set goals and they are helpful in developing a student's overall skill. Also, I like to concentrate on enabling the student to be able to develop their technique so they always feel very comfortable with the instrument and they can ultimately play whatever they please!
I think the general consensus from my experience in teaching is that the student must have fun to be able to be productive and also be productive to have fun!

He is good teaching the fine details of playing the violin such as intonation, remembering point of references with fingering, and pointing out mistakes I didn't know before.
