Personal Description:

My name is Daniel and I have been playing drums since I was 10 years old.
I have played with my own jazz groups at Ronnie Scott's Jazz club, The Verdict Jazz club and Oliver's Jazz bar, to mention a few. I have also performed with The London Jazz Orchestra.
I can deliver lessons online or in person (socially distanced and with any safety required in line with the government guidance). I graduated from Trinity Laban in 2013 prior to which I graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with first degree honours.
I am a full member os the MISM (Incorporated Society of Musicians) and have a combined liability insurance as part of my membership.
I also have an enhanced DBS certificate.

Tutoring Experience:

I have almost 10 years of experience in teaching drums/percussion, which includes teaching priva**Contact Detail Removed**sson, in primary schools and secondary schools within Greater London. I have experience in teaching all ages, including adults. I currently teach in three secondary schools where I mostly prepare my students for exams using for the Rockschool syllabuses. I have prepared students for all grades (1-8), with a 100% pass rate.

Tutoring Approach:

Over the years I have accumulated invaluable experience in teaching and performing, and I have published two drum books, one if which is my own personal drum instruction book about creative jazz drumming. I tailor each lessons to my student's wishes and needs. I have a professional space with acoustic drums and relevant material to help any student advance their skills to the next level, no matter where they're at.
