Personal Description:
Hello, I am a Hertford based saxophonist and I have been a working musician for 15 years.
I have a Masters degree in Jazz Studies from the Royal Academy of Music and have been teaching for over 10 years.
My musical inspiration ranges from Benny Goodman to Stevie Wonder with everything in between.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching for over 10 years. I teach privately, in schools and online.
Tutoring Approach:
I really enjoy teaching, whether it is for fun, preparing for an exam, an audition, furthering your musicianship and instrumental skills, or just wanting to learn your favourite saxophone solo. I am keen for my students to enjoy learning to play the saxophone.
Getting to know what my students want from lessons is really important as it helps me to tailor each lesson and achieve their goals.
I can teach specific styles such as: Jazz, Pop, Funk, Soul, Blues.
I like to get my students playing along to songs/tracks as soon as possible as I think playing music this way is a really important part of being a musician.
