Personal Description:

I am a composer studying at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and I am also an instrumentalist. I began playing the guitar at age 11, starting with electric guitar and rock music and progressing onto classical guitar and many other styles. I started the playing the piano when I was 17 and took my grade 8 exam three years later. My interests as a composer are electronics, noise, acoustics and liminality. I enjoy using computer software to compose and I am fluent in Sibelius and Logic X.

Work experience at Eastover Primary School (Spring, 2010).

Harmony tutor at Guildhall School of Music & Drama (2017-present).

Music mentor at City Academy in Hackney (2018).

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tuition is based entirely on creativity and allowing students to express themselves rather than just following instructions. I encourage students to improvise and create, alongside the more traditional practice of learning scales and pieces. I like to create my own worksheets and backing tracks using Sibelius and Logic Pro X, which enables me to create unique challenges for each student.
