Information About Colette - Burton-on-Trent teacher

Personal Description:

I have always been passionate about learning and performing music since I was little. I studied Music during my GCSEs and AS levels which has continued to University so I have a wide knowledge of Music history, genres and theory. I have performed in numerous bands over the years including Choirs, Orchestra, Jazz bands and Concert bands. At the moment I am studying to become a Music Producer and currently on my BA (Hons) Top up Degree in Music Production.

Tutoring Experience:

I do have teaching experience from my Foundation Degree as I had to prepare and deliver lessons. This course included creating a schedule outlining all of the lessons as well as planning the resources and materiel required.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching approach is to tailor the lessons to suit the pupil's needs. My lessons will focus on classical teaching but will also explore other genres of music such as Pop, Rock and Jazz to ensure you have the opportunity to discover a wide range of music.

I teach beginners to intermediates (grades 1-5)

I can enter pupils for ABRSM exams if they wish to take them. Or you can play just for fun!

Theory will be included in the lessons but I can teach it separately if requested.
