Cinsia offers a FREE first / introductory lesson!
I currently teach piano, keyboard, theory & voice to children, teenagers and adults alike.
I enjoy teaching and I make my lessons fun, rewarding and accessible to all. I will happily work with students at beginners, intermediate or advanced level. I can also help students prepare material for their GCSE in Music.
I have 20 years experience in teaching and I specialise in working with people who have learning difficulties or disabilities. I have worked with people who have dyslexia, dyspraxia, autism, adhd, ocd, depression, vision, speech & hearing problems. I am fully versed in this area as I have a diploma in Social Care.
My lessons are adapted to suit the needs of my students which vary according to age, ability and musical tastes. Some students choose to take grades in music whilst others wish to work towards their Duke Of Edinburgh or prepare for class concerts, band performances and festivals. Some students prepare for GCSE Music exams(composition/performance skills) or entry to a specific university course. My role here is to help students prepare for their auditions. Others prefer to play the piano or keyboard as a leisure pursuit. Examinations are not mandatory and the most important thing is to develop the skills and knowledge which are fundamental to being a good musicain.
