Personal Description:

My journey in music began with piano lessons from the age of eight which I continued throughout my school studies. By my mid-teens I developed an interest to write and produce music. After finishing school, I studied Sound Production to develop my skills in music production, and then progressed to Edinburgh Napier University on the BA (Hons) Popular Music course with principal study in Composition. After graduating I was a piano accompanist for a choir and a keys player for bands, and now currently write and produce music for various projects.

Tutoring Experience:

I have had previous experience of teaching piano during my years at college and university on a one-to-one basis. In 2014 and 2015 I was invited to guest lecture at Ayrshire College on the HND Sound Production course for the Advanced Multimedia class. I was then employed as an assistant for the North Ayrshire Youth Filmmaking Workshop programme during the summer of 2015. More recently I've been a tutor for the CREW film workshop initiative running as part of the Youth and Community programme in Irvine.

Tutoring Approach:

I firmly believe in allowing pupils to develop at their own pace, and when necessary, give them the appropriate encouragement to study and learn their instrument. I like to tailor each lesson to suit the individual and allow pupils to have a healthy balance of practicing the course work and playing for fun.
