Personal Description:

Pianist and Composer trained in both classical and contemporary styles. I have worked as a session musician in weddings, cruise ships, theatres, and with many artists and bands. Most recently I worked as a bandleader onboard P&O ships, working with acts including Joe Mcelderry and Gareth Gates.
I also write music in a variety of genres, specialising in piano, orchestral, and lo-fi Hip Hop. My music has been featured on spotify editorial playlists and on TV shows such as The One Show and American Greed.
In 2014, at 17 I achieved distinction in the ATCL diploma and I have improved a lot since then.

Tutoring Experience:

Some students a few years ago for a few months. I have not settled in the same place for long due to cruise ship work but I've just moved to london and plan to stay.

Tutoring Approach:

Big focus on developing your ear. This is somehow underrated in music education but crucial for professional musicians.

Improving technique and sightreading by playing a large volume of music. This is a better approach than repeating the same passage over and over.

The focus will be different depending on each student and their goals, the music they like, strengths and weaknesses.
