Personal Description:
I am a young, friendly, dedicated teacher who is committed to ensuring all my students are the best that they can be. I recently graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music where I studied a Masters in clarinet and saxophone. I completed my Undergraduate degree at the Newcastle University. I have also studied at the Conservatorio di Musica di Perugia. I have played in a variety of ensembles including Orchestras, Big Bands, Theatre pit ensembles and I have also played in multiple recitals around Newcastle.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching for the past five years with students over a variety of ages from junior school to adult. I have 100% pass rate for exams including Grade 8 with many students achieving Merits and Distinctions. I also currently work with Tameside Music Service where I teach groups and 1-1 tuition. I successfully transferred to teaching online during 2020 and I still continue to offer online tuition to students on a regular basis.
Tutoring Approach:
I tailor my teaching to every students different goals and aims and I have worked with several students with complex educational needs. l can help students progress through the ABRSM grade system should they wish to pursue this route however I feel the most important thing is that students enjoy lessons and playing their instrument. I always look to ensure that my students develop as all round musicians so they can make the most of learning their instrument.
