Personal Description:
Christine plays violin, accordion, piano and nyckelharpa. In current times Christine has adapted successfully to working online and can provide testimonials from current pupils as to how they have found lessons over the internet. After many years of teaching in schools she is now taking the opportunity of gigging regularly and teaching instrumental lessons to individuals and small groups. All of her teaching takes place in ME9. She is experienced in teaching children and adults, and those with learning difficulties. She is happy to work with beginners as well as those who have already been learning their instrument.
Tutoring Experience:
Several years of teaching in primary and special schools. Experience in leading workshops for singers and instrumentalists.
Tutoring Approach:
Christine is always keen to find out how her pupils like to learn and then teach accordingly. Her pupils say they enjoy learning, and she enjoys the lessons too! Lessons often include improvisation, an approach which is new to many and which they quickly learn to value. Christine is experienced in preparing pupils for exams and can do this if asked.

Unfortunately the lockdown started soon afterwards. But we are now having 2 half hour lessons each week via Skype. These are the highlights of the week during the long lockdown holiday.
I highly recommend Christine to anyone who is looking for violin or piano lessons for their children.
Christine is a wonderful tutor as I am primarily a guitarist, (ex rock, now folk/country) she shows understanding and huge encouragement. She has lots of patience, which most people need with me. With someone who has many broken bones in his hands, she has shown me how to get round the disabilities.
Due to my lack of dexterity she re strung my fiddle for me, in this she was very helpful to me.
I would recommend her to anyone and I will continue to be a student under her for as long as I can.
