Personal Description:

I am a very experienced musician and teacher and I have worked with students of all ages (from 3-90yrs) and abilities. As well as achieving a Distinction in my music degree, I have Grade 8 piano (Distinction), Grade 8 Singing (Distinction), Grade 6 Flute (Distinction) and LTCL Theory.
I offer lessons online or in person, at a venue or at students’ houses.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught music in secondary schools for 34 years and was Head of Department for 28 years. I currently teach singing at a local Prep School and teach piano, singing and keyboard privately, both in person and online.
As well as guiding students through their GCSE and A Level exams, I have entered many students for their grade exams with continuing success. I have also prepared students for music auditions for shows/university courses etc and performances for shows etc.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a very experienced musician and teacher and I have worked with students of all ages (from 3-90yrs) and abilities. I believe that music is a wonderful medium for developing confidence, coordination, dexterity and relaxation and believe that music lessons should be fun. I am willing to teach all ages and abilities and am happy to teach students regardless of whether they wish to learn for fun or to study for grade exams.
