Personal Description:

In my personal practice as a musician, I've performed in many different venues around the UK, both large and intimate, and at festivals like Glastonbury & The Great Escape. I’ve also supported artists on tour over seas, such as Ben Howard - so if you're interested in performing and want to build confidence & familiarise yourself with a stage setup, then that’s something we can definitely focus on during lessons.
As a solo musician & band member, I've been composing and songwriting for 8 years - so, if you’re looking to work on your own songwriting/composition skills, we can do this during lessons, as you develop your own artistic expression! We can also look at self accompaniment, if like myself you play another instrument such as guitar or piano, and want to incorporate other elements of musicianship into your lessons.

Tutoring Experience:

I’ve been studying and practicing music for just over 18 years now, and I'm an experienced singer, songwriter, performer and multi-instrumentalist.
I also hold a BA Degree in Music and an Extended Diploma in Music Performance, so I'm incredibly passionate about music & singing!
I've been on my own vocal journey during this time, and I really do understand the importance of tailoring these lessons to you, your goals & your voice, while developing confidence and finding your own unique vocal style.

Tutoring Approach:

Are you looking to improve your vocal technique, build confidence, or maybe you just love singing and think you could benefit from guided lessons to help find your own unique style?
Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced vocalist, my aim is to help you build confidence, find vocal ease, and reach your singing goals in a comfortable, and pressure free environment!
Lessons can be held online or in person, and will centre around your goals, style, taste and inspirations. If you are looking on behalf of a child or young person, I work with children from 11 years and older.
We’ll work in some stretches, warm ups and exercises, to build vocal technique, and delve into the science and art of singing. Your voice will be accompanied by me on piano/guitar, or sung to a backing track, and I can cover a range of different contemporary genres!

Amongst many things, in lessons we will:
- Work on supporting your voice
- Boost breath control
- Practice & develop healthy vocal techniques
- Develop your "mix" voice
- Smooth out bridges
- Broaden your range
- Find your powerful voice
- Find your soft voice
- Develop style & tone
- Work towards grades
- Nurture your voice in order to build confidence and find vocal ease!
