Personal Description:

A keen musician, with many strings to my bow! Began to play the viola aged 7 through school and continued to study Music at Degree level. I have over 25 years performance experience. Along those many years I have learnt to play several other string instruments including Ukulele, Mandolin, Cello, Guitar and Violin. I played in Chesterfield Symphony Orchestra from a young age and played concerts with Sheffield Symphony Orchestra, Derby Concert Orchestra and Huddersfield Philharmonic. I enjoy playing as part of quartets, and have played at several weddings and other community events.

Tutoring Experience:

I have over 10 years experience teaching privately, 8 years classroom teaching and most recently 1:1, small group and whole class violin tuition within schools in Nottinghamshire. Collaboratively these various experiences have allowed me to develop the skills to tailor my lessons to suit a range of ages, abilities and characters.

A flexible approach to tuition, developing lessons that work to get the best from the student. Encompassing the musical interests and goals of the student.
