Personal Description:
Studied at Napier University University of Surrey and Anglia Unversity.
Occasional performer with local bands/orchestras
My training was classical but I also love good rock/pop, jazz, big band and brass band music
I am passionate about raising up the next generation of singers and brass musicians.
Tutoring Experience:
I am an experienced teacher of voice, all brass instruments and theory. I am employed by both Essex Music Services and Southend on Sea Music Services and on a self employed capacity, teaching voice, brass, recorder, class music, choirs and bands.
I teach young people and adults privately.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach is largely determined by what my students (and parents) want. I seek to accomodate my students' aspiration/objectives, such as rising through grade exams, preparing for musical theatre audition or concert performances, or adopting a more relaxed approach, for pleasure.
I concentrate on producing a good sound and solid technique through repertoire that suits the preference of student.
