Personal Description:

I am a fully qualified piano teacher from Malta with 30 years of teaching experience. I teach all levels and ages from very young children to adults. I prepare my students for practical as well as theory exams of the ABRSM and diplomas of the LCM and ABRSM.

I am a full time piano teacher with NMPAT (Northamptonshire Music and Performing Arts Trust) visiting primary and secondary schools in Northampton, Kettering and Wellingborough.

While in Malta I regularly organised pupils' concerts at different venues and encouraged students to participate in international festivals, master classes and competitions.

Tutoring Experience:

I've had a numerous successful graduate students throughout my 30 years' of teaching who most of them are now music teachers. I prepare students for Dip ABRSM and LRSM of the ABRSM as well as ALCM, LLCM and FLCM of the LCM.
I have taught my own daughter and she has passed all the ABRSM grades with the highest distinction marks being a first prize winner in all grades. She obtained 5 diplomas by the age of 12 and is a first prize winner in 10 International Piano Competitions. She has recently graduated from the Royal College of Music in London.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a very calm and patient person.
I believe that delivering my passion in music to my students is very essential for their learning.
I do this by giving them constant praise as well as teaching them various techniques.
I show them when they are making progress and encourage them for regular practice.
That way, students appreciate their success and build more confidence for further improvement. I do care about each and every student and find ways to make a connection with every one of them. I believe that trust is very important in a teacher-student relationship.
I encourage experimentation and exploration. It is very exciting when they try their best to get to know various sounds created by themselves. I also encourage them to take part in concerts and assemblies to boost their confidence and deal with stage fright from a very young age. Various techniques such as games, competitions, rewards and inspirational stories are vital for motivation and inspiration. I just love seeing students interested in music and flourish.
