Information About Charmaine - High Wycombe teacher - (4 reviews)
This is how 2 referees rated Charmaine:
I am a fully qualified piano teacher with 24 years of experience from Malta. I teach all levels and ages from children to adults. I prepare students for practical as well as theory exams of the ABRSM and diplomas of the LCM and ABRSM.
I have recently moved to the UK due to family circumstances. While in Malta I regularly organised pupils' concerts at different venues and encouraged students to participate in international festivals, master classes and competitions. I myself have been participating in numerous master classes both as an active participant and as a teacher.
I've had a very good number of successful graduate students throughout my 24 years' of teaching in Malta who most of them are now teaching independently. I prepared students for Dip ABRSM and LRSM of the ABRSM as well as ALCM, LLCM and FLCM of the LCM.
I have been teaching my own daughter since the age of 5. She has passed all the ABRSM grades with the highest distinction marks and has obtained 5 diplomas by age 13. She is currently studying at Wells Cathedral School in Somerset as a Specialist Pianist with a scholarship.
Presently I have two recommendations confirming my teaching profession as a result of a number of highly successful candidates who sat for examinations up to diploma level with the relative boards.

I am a calm and patient person and I believe that delivering my passion of music to my students is very essential. I do this by giving them praise as well as correcting them. I tell them when they are making progress and encourage them. That way, students appreciate their success and build more confidence for further improvement. I do care about each and every student and also try to find ways to make a connection with every one of them. I believe that trust is very important in a teacher-student relationship.
I encourage experimentation and exploration. It is very exciting when they try their best to get to know various sounds created by themselves. I also encourage them to take part in concerts and assemblies to boost their confidence and deal with stage fright from a very young age. Various techniques such as games, competitions, rewards or inspirational stories help to motivate and inspire students to practice. I just love seeing students interested in music and flourish.

Myself and my three children (ages 4,4 and 6) are beginners and have just started lessons. I’m very happy that we found Charmaine to give them to us.
She is charming, knowledgable and patient. With the varying ages, I’m impressed she can control and inspire each of us. From her professionalism it is clear she is a teacher, as well as a piano player.
Reliable and punctual, I can wholeheartedly recommend her.
