Information About Charlotte - Manchester teacher

Personal Description:

Hi! I'm Charlotte, a 22-year-old masters student studying at the University of Manchester. I studied flute under Laura Jellicoe and Cormac Henry on the prestigious joint course at RNCM and UoM at undergraduate, receiving a first class in 2023. I also hold an ARSM Diploma (Distinction) on flute (2019) and have won awards such as the Proctor-Gregg prize for the highest first year recital mark (UoM, 2021) and the Peter Lloyd prize for chamber music (RNCM, 2021).

Tutoring Experience:

I have been playing and learning the flute for 16 years and have been teaching students of all levels for over 3 years. My experience mainly lies with tutoring adult beginners but I have plenty of experience with working with children and young people through my degree. I am also able to tutor saxophone and piano to grade 5, as well as tutor music theory to grade 5.

My lessons are busy and jam-packed to make them fun and enjoyable for you! Although I follow an ABRSM model as a starting point, I will tailor the tuition to your individual needs in order to target your personal strengths and identify areas to improve. I have had lots of experience with many teaching styles throughout her music career so will be able to find a style that suits your way of learning! I have taught plenty of beginner students so you can feel confident that I will be able to help you achieve success when starting out on the flute.
