Personal Description:

I am a Northern Irish musician, writer and actor living in London. I have been playing saxophone since I was 11 years old and have achieved all grades.
I have played in orchestras, big bands and as a soloist.
Valid DBS.

Tutoring Experience:

I have worked as a Learning Assistant for children with special learning needs for 3 years so i have experience education one-on-one and in a larger class environment. I performed educational shows around Italy for high school children and spent 2 years as a Scout Leader whilst still in Ireland.

Tutoring Approach:

The approach we take to learning is always down to the learner. We can look at specific pieces, scales, improvisation, learning specific techniques. When I was learning my tutor found it difficult to get me to focus on the exam pieces because I just wanted to improvise along to Aretha. With that in mind, I think its important for musicians to develop their own personal style. I believe in a can do attitude and an ambition to develop a skill for saxophone.
