Personal Description:
I am a Qualified Teacher who graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London with First Class Honours, having won the Buffet Crampon Clarinet Prize there. I have taught in classrooms as well as one to one, and I love teaching a variety instruments. As an active professional clarinet player, I have played with orchestras such as the BBC National Orchestra of Wales, the Philharmonia Orchestra in London and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
Tutoring Experience:
I currently work for Entrust Music Service Staffordshire, teaching all of the instruments listed here. I have helped students reach ABRSM and Trinity grades in clarinet, saxophone, piano and guitar with a 100% pass rate. Previously, as a secondary school teacher, I gained Qualified Teacher Status and a Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership and Learning. Tutoring Approach:
I am open to any preference in musical taste, and I focus on making each lesson as fun an experience as possible. I enjoy the process of working towards grades, however if you are not looking to enter grades and simply want to learn the instrument that is completely fine as well.
My fees are £35 for an hour, £27.50 for 45 mins, or £20 for 30 mins.
