Information About Carrie - Welling teacher

Personal Description:

My name is Carrie-Ann and I am a singing teacher based in Eltham.
I have just completed my studies of vocal and operatic studies where I was offered an entrance scholarship, at the Birmingham Conservatoire with First Class Honours.

I have been singing for 15 years, and obtained my grade 8 singing (ABRSM) and grade 5 theory (ABRSM) at the age of 15. I have had many experiences on stage both in musicals, performing main roles in various musical society's from the age of 9 to 20. And with Opera, as during my studies at the Conservatoire, I have been fortunate to perform main roles in the Conservatoires yearly Operas.

I have performed at numerous functions such as: Stoke-On-Trent’s ‘Our Heroes awards 2012’, The 2013 Charity Valentines Glitter Ball/Motive Charity Ball for Motor Neurone Disease, Congleton Mayors Ball ‘13, The Sentinel Business Awards ‘13, Congleton Mayor Civic Service '13, Palletforce Gala Awards 2013, Coventry Cycle Speedway Final, (which was broadcasted on Sky Sports across 32 countries) and many more.

I have also performed in a professional pantomime production at the Regent Theatre in Stoke-On-Trent with 'First Family Entertainment', playing the role of the Fairy Godmother in 'Cinderella'. Starring Christian Patterson, Jonathan Wilkes and Kai Owen from "Doctor Who" spin-off "Torchwood".

I have entered exams and many competitions, including winning the Mario Lanza Operatic Prize, which one of its previous winners was Rhydian Roberts of X factor. To which I was also given the st Clare Barfield award for my operatic achievements. I am also the latest winner for the Stoke Top Talent competition.

Tutoring Experience:

I first starting teaching in a local youth group in Cheshire where I was a vocal coach, and I helped produce productions that the pupils would put on. I was help develop dancing, acting and singing skills for then all to perform. The ticket sales of the productions went to the local church and other charities.

I also have 3 years experience of teaching privately on a one to one basis.

Tutoring Approach:

I am looking to take any kind of students, whether your a student who wants to improve on your singing, and is thinking about pursuing singing as a career, or a student who just wants to have fun and learn how to sing.

I teach any age, any level from beginner to advanced And any genre. Whether its popular singing, Jazz, musical theatre or classical, I will help to improve your musical ability to perform in this area. Lessons will include vocal warm-ups, performance coaching, language coaching and help with auditions, exams or any performances you have in the near future.

Lessons with me cost £15 for half an hour or £25 an hour.
