Information About Caroline - Berkhamsted teacher

Personal Description:

I am a music graduate (first study flute) with lots of experience teaching and playing in orchestras and ensembles on flute. I also play the piano and piccolo. I have been living in Berkhamsted for the last 20 years, where my three children have grown up. Prior to this I lived in London where I worked for BBC Radio 3.

Tutoring Experience:

I have many years experience teaching in local schools for Hertfordshire Music Service, where I received training and was DBS checked. I have also been teaching privately since 2006.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to follow a fairly traditional approach to teaching flute. I encourage pupils to read music so that they can learn new pieces independently. I like to prepare students for music exams, if they are happy with that, as I think it gives them a sense of achievement and a goal to aim for.
