Tutoring Experience:

I have 5 years private tutor experience working at a successful teaching business named 'Andy Wriaght studios' in Swindon (my home town, cheers drive!) where I taught a wide spectrum of age groups and skills levels ranging from absolute beginner to helping grade 8 pupils pass their Trinity Guildhall exams. I've recently set up a my own teaching business after graduating with First Class B(Mus) Honours degree in music from the Academy Of Contemporary Music, Guildford back in 2012.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to private music tutoring is to build a tailor made teaching plan based on what goals a particular student would like to attain, whether it be concentration on sight reading and passing graded exams or looking at drumming on a more technical level. The benefit of working as a session drummer is I can help place particular teachings into context on how they would be applied in a real musical setting.
