Information About Bozhidar - Coventry teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Bozhidar:
I'm a professional musician. Drummer who has an overall knowledge in music theory and also plays bass guitar and piano. I've worked with many bands in my career spanning many different genres - rock, pop bands, small jazz ensembles, big bands also orchestras. I've also worked in a cruise ship as a drummer of the cruise line's house band for around 6 years now.
Although I've only thought privately and have never been hired by an institution as a tutor I'm pretty confident of my abilities and knowledge because of the easy going and hands-on methods I use. These methods are Kodály, Dalcroze and Suzuki on which I wrote a dissertation at the end of university.
The methods I mentioned above (Kodály, Dalcroze and Suzuki) are a great way to understand elements of music - rhythm, melody, harmony, because the students learn by playing (hand clapping, marching, whistling). Of course my style of teaching is a mixture of these three which I studied hard in uni plus other little ways I've developed in understanding musical language.
There is body position involved (for beginners), hand grip, dynamics etc. Music listening and analysis. Chart reading and interpreting.
