Personal Description:
I'm a 33-year-old private tutor and LSA at Holy Trinity School in Wimbledon. I'm calm, patient and friendly. I teach Maths and Science up to GCSE level, including for entrance exams (11+). I also tutor piano and guitar, and hold a football coaching qualification.
I'm fairly busy during school weeks, so I'm only really looking for summer holiday or weekend clients right now.
Tutoring Experience:
I have tutored on and off for 10 years and have been a primary teaching assistant for 4 years, with supply experience at a large number of schools. I have also taught English as foreign language in the past. As an LSA, I have a significant degree of experience working with children with SEN, including ASC and ADD.
Tutoring Approach:
I recognise not everybody learns in the same way, so I'm flexible to teaching the topics and in the style requested by the student (or parents). With beginners I feel the most important thing is that they do not give up during through the difficult early months of learning, so I try to make learning as enjoyable as possible by teaching them tunes they are familiar with and easy harmonies.
