Personal Description:

I am an experienced tutor of sixteen years on guitar and drumkit. This has been obtained through one-to-one, group, workshop and class tuition. I have vast experience teaching students with both mental and physical disabilities too. I am an active musician who has played in a whole spectrum of musical situations, most notably as the drummer for pop band 'Stooshe'.
Live, my playing has involved performance on national T.V… many commercial festivals and taken me on tours internationally, it has involved recording various albums too, and I am certain that all this experience filters into my teaching.

Tutoring Approach:

I am friendly and easily approachable. My teaching methods are relaxed and aimed at making the student feel comfortable. The fundamentals of good technique are a given in my teaching but I realise that no two students are the same. I understand that each individual wishes to obtain varying knowledge and ability on the instrument so i adapt my teaching and material to the students personal needs. If its just "playing a song" through to grades or beyond into advanced technique, i am more than happy to cater for your tutoring needs.
