Personal Description:

I am currently a Teacher of Music in Clackmannanshire Council and live near Edinburgh. I graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland achieving a Bachelor of Education (music) with honours of the First Class. Being on the course has allowed me to have various experiences on placements in both secondary and primary schools. This has allowed me to work with musicians of all ages and abilities. At RCS, I received lessons on Piano and Euphonium and have experience playing a large variety of repertoire.

Tutoring Experience:

- Previous experience as a tutor at Haydock Music School, Nite Piano School and Melrose Music School and also have experience tutoring privately.
- Musical director experience for Kilmaurs Young Farmers and Cumnock Youth Theatre.
- As part of my course at RCS, I have experience of being on placements in both primary and secondary schools teaching music in a classroom setting.
- I have tutored at North Ayrshire Junior band.

Tutoring Approach:

I approach one to one lessons with a positive and friendly attitude with the aim of making lessons as fun and enjoyable as possible. Learning to play the piano doesn’t need to revolve around sitting exams and I am happy to cater to the needs of all pupils with the main focus being on achieving their personal goals.
