Anthony offers a FREE first / introductory lesson!
Hi! My name is Tony and I am the founder and senior tutor of Maestros & Masters Academy. I've been teaching music for over a decade and I now run a full-time music and martial arts school.
At M&MA we provide electric, acoustic and bass guitar lessons. We can either teach you our private curriculum that's tailored to your own pace, or we specialise in teaching professional globally-recognised Rockschool grades. Lessons are provided both on Zoom and in-person.
Lessons are typically 30 minutes long and are priced at £50 per calendar month for children and £60 per caldenar month for adults. We can also provide hourly lessons and family lessons at a discounted rate.
A flat rate of £20 per 30 minute lesson is also available if monthly payments aren't an option.
Should you be interested, we also offer Taekwondo lessons (with a dicsount if taking multiple subjects).
Get in touch if you'd like to know more! Thanks.
Over a decade of teaching experience and well over two decades worth of guitar playing experience.
This includes both in schools and some private tuition.
I've spent time working with 'Simply Education' as a supply teacher for schools across the Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire areas. During this time I worked as a primary teaching assistant covering the national curriculum, as well as doing group and class work as a guitar or music teacher.
Since then I've worked alongside the company 'Rockstart Bootcamp' beginning as a guitar teaching assistant and eventually taking over as the head teacher for the bootcamps in the East Midlands area (whilst then taking on my own assistants).
In 2015 I finished working with Rockstart Bootcamp (as the company moved south to London) and began running my own business for private guitar tuition.
This business has since grown into a full-time music and martial arts school with multiple tutors and over 80 students.
My outlook on teaching is to provide a friendly and comfortable atmosphere, with a solid structured course that's easy to follow and easy to tailor to specific individuals. I want my clients to enjoy their learning, whilst feeling like they're constantly progressing at a pace that suits them.
My lessons begin with a tailor made study plan.
It’s built on a six week period, which covers six topics. On your free introductory lesson I evaluate what you know and don’t know and to what point you would like to get yourself to. Over the course we’ll study riffs, chords, rhythm, note theory, scales, your own selected songs, genres, and much more. The aim being to continuously test and train your skills on the guitar. There are no formal exams (unless you undertake the Rockschool curriculum), but I will be checking you understand what we’ve previously studied every week.
We’ll be keeping everything you learn compiled in a folder (which I provide when you begin lessons), so you can review and practice what you have been studying at anytime.
If you wish to follow a different study route (such as the profressional Rockschool grading syllabus), I’m happy to cater to that. Just let me know on your taster lesson.
Ultimately, it’s made to be very interesting and fun, and hopefully it’ll provide the opportunity for you to be really passionate and enthusiastic about playing the guitar.
Everything will be explained in further detail when you come for your free introductory lesson!
