Personal Description:

I am currently working as a music lead in an outstanding primary school. This is an inspiring and rewarding position. I had an opportunity to develop wide range of skills which helped me to improve my strategies to reach each and every student in my classroom; to advance learning and to engage and motivate my students. In my day to day job I am applying a range of teaching and learning strategies to promote each student’s attainment and progress. I believe that I have the ability to motivate pupils and help them to maximise their attainment and enjoyment of learning.

Alongside my work commitments, I have successfully achieved a Masters degree in Education fromBirmingham City University, this is in addition to having successfully graduated with a PGCE Secondary Music (with QTS), in July, 2012. I have also achieved a Bachelors of Music Degree in Popular Music from University of Wolverhampton (2011). My academic training has further developed my understanding of the values, skills and responsibilities of the teaching role.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a confident music practitioner, with experience in all areas of delivering lessons and my time management is exemplary. I have a talent for establishing rapport with both students and colleagues and I ensure that I contribute to developing a positive and productive working environment. I have experience delivering one to one lessons in different music centres across West Midlands. I have also worked in established Performing arts schools such as Razzmatazz, Vocalise and Excel Show Business.

Tutoring Approach:

Teaching singing and music in general allows me to combine my passion for for performing arts and providing an opportunity for talented people to explore their talent and further explore their abilities I strongly believe in the benefit that music and singing in particular can bring to all aspects of life.
My lessons aim to develop each student’s individual abilities and exploring of different techniques.
