Personal Description:
I'm a qualified singing teacher and voice coach and have over fifteen years of teaching experience. I have been trained and mentored by leading industry experts including Chris Johnson of The Naked Vocalist. I also have a Diploma in Teaching Contemporary Singing and a Certificate in Working With Adolescent Voices, following my training with Dr Ria Keen at The Voice College.
I am also a fully qualified Vocal Health First Aid Practitioner which means I can identify when a singer may require additional help from ENT or SLT and I can make the appropriate referrals.
I also specialise in vocal health, and vocal confidence, and use techniques to help singers overcome Music Performance Anxiety. I am also an expert in working with mature voices.
I teach singing to children over the age of 12 years, and adults of all ages.
I am also an experienced piano teacher, and musical director, and teach children over the age of 12, and adults of all ages. I specialise in classical and contemporary styles. Exams with ABRSM, Trinity, LCM and MTB.
I’m based in Telford, near Shrewsbury, Shropshire and offer both face to face lessons and Zoom lessons.
Music and singing is my passion,and as a professional singer, I perform regularly.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach to teaching voice is based on vocal acoustics and current voice science, building acoustic resonance and focusing on the whole body. Movement is often used to achieve great results. Every lesson is individual depending on the student. There is no age limit, and no pressure to complete exams. Lessons are fun and engaging, and filled with enthusiasm. I provide lead sheets, lyrics and some other materials. I also provide lessons online via Zoom.
