Personal Description:

My name is Annastasia, I am currently working within the Beauty Industry but otherwise tutor Maths and Piano, I have been tutoring for a total of 5 years.
I am incredibly patient and friendly, I am observant and have excellent interpersonal skills. I really enjoy teaching as it gives me a fulfilment I do not find in my day job, I believe knowledge is the key to bring you forward in life.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring for a total of 5 years over a period of 7 years, as I have taken 2 years off to complete my degree. Prior to this I was volunteering to help GCSE students at my Sixth Form, so I have been tutoring for a while now. I have primarily taught children ages 5-12 and teenagers ages 12-16, but I have also taught adults and older teenagers. I am now looking to build strong relationships with new students!

Tutoring Approach:

I try my very best in trying to understand how a student learns, the Piano takes commitment to learn, without an understanding of the individual student there is no progress. Everyone learns differently, so I approach each student differently and to their needs.
I work extremely hard to help each student get the grade they desire, but they say if you are doing a job you love you never really work a day in your life! I strictly use positive reinforcement as I can see from my experience this creates a long term commitment to the instrument rather than trying to barely pass an exam.
