Personal Description:
I am a professional recorder player and historical flautist, recently moved from Surrey to Gloucestershire.
Tutoring Experience:
A graduate of the Royal College of Music in London, I have more than twenty years of teaching experience, from total beginners to advanced players. I have entered pupils for graded examinations with both the ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall exam boards and I am currently head of Recorder at Birmingham Conservatoire.
Tutoring Approach:
I enjoy developing the individual talents of each and every student, whether motivated by pure enjoyment or by the more serious business of exams and public performances. The emphasis in all my lessons is on self-achievement, and I am equally happy teaching beginners, advanced students, children and adults. Lessons are designed to be fun, relaxed and enjoyable and tailored to the student's individual level of commitment and goals.
