Personal Description:
I am a passionate music teacher and performing professional, having taught for over 20 years in England and Australia. I began playing violin and piano at the age of three, and have been a playing in orchestras since the age of 9. During my Bachelor of Music degree, I changed my main instrument to viola,completing my Master of Music studies on viola.
I lived in London for many years, teaching locally and performing across Europe. I then moved to Australia and taught privately and at school, while performing and touring with a variety of local ensembles. I have recently relocated again to the UK.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching in schools for the last 15 years across England and Australia, and privately for over 20 years - on both violin and viola. I have helped many students achieve excellent outcomes in music exams and auditions. I teach anyone aged 7 up, young and old, and aim to always find the best way to help students achieve their goals.
Tutoring Approach:
I am passionate about music and inspiring my students with the same love of music. I strongly believe that everyone can enjoy learning an instrument, and that the learning process should be both challenging and fun.
I always strive to adapt my teaching to my students' needs, as everyone has a unique learning style and challenges. I am also highly organised in exam preparation (and provide many of my own extra resources and recordings).

As a complete beginner I feel like I'm already making a beautiful sound, playing simple tunes that I recognise and working through the musical notation.
I have ADHD and Anna has met me where I am without making a big deal about it. I'm loving learning and excited to see what I can do in the future.
