Personal Description:
I'm an enthusiastic and experienced teacher and performer. I graduated of Leeds College of Music with a BA Hons (Jazz) First Class in 2013, and since then I've been doing a mix of tuition, live performance and recording.
I'm so grateful for the experiences my career has given me; from performing at my favourite venues such as Zeferellis, Matt and Phreds, Steven Joseph Theatre, to travelling across Europe, recording many creative albums including my recent trio release "Shapeshifters" on New Jazz Records and "MOS - Mansion of Snakes" on Hyde Park Book Club Records, to introducing new students to music or preparing experienced students for music college. I enjoy drawing on these experiences to inspire my students.
Tutoring Experience:
I've been a private tutor since 2013, and have taught students of all abilities, from total beginners to graduates of music college.
I've also run workshops focusing on jazz improvisation and ensemble playing. Music from one of my projects, Mansion of Snakes, is currently included on the governments new Model Music Curriculum as recommended listening.
Tutoring Approach:
I cater to each student individually, and always start our journey by working out long term aims. These could include grades, joining a wind band, improvisation, improved theory knowledge, further education. One unifying approach for me is to try and foster a comfortable and fun environment where my students can feel comfortable playing together in a duo setting.

She has a relaxed and welcoming style of teaching but isn't afraid to push you to make progress.
Our lessons were all online and her setup for this is brilliant, so whilst in person lessons are always going to be the gold standard if you're in need of an online teacher then I'd highly recommend her.
