Information About Angela - Belfast teacher

Personal Description:

I am a fully qualified violinist and teacher based in Belfast, having achieved ARSM professional performance and teaching diplomas under ABRSM. I have more than 20 years experience teaching a wide range of pupils from beginners to advanced, children and adults. I help my pupils reach individual goals, whether that be entering graded music exams or simply playing for personal enjoyment.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a qualified music teacher, accredited with ABRSM Teaching Diploma and I have more than 20 years experience of teaching a wide range of pupils from beginners to advanced, and children to adult learners.

I teach most pupils with a goal to entering and achieving graded music exams, however some of my pupils just want to learn purely for fun and personal enjoyment without exam attainment. I believe in encouraging all pupils to reach their full enjoyment and potential in music.

Alongside each practical lesson I build in music theory to help maximise pupils awareness and understanding of music, and to encourage independence with their musicianship and learning.

Tutoring Approach:

I aim to inspire and encourage all pupils in whatever their musical goal is, whether that be learning towards entry to graded music exams or learning other styles purely for fun.

For primary and post primary school aged pupils I can advance them towards membership of the excellent local EA orchestras to help shape their musical appreciation and have the experience of performing in ensembles from a young age.
