Personal Description:

Hi!
My name is Andy and I am a professional guitarist and guitar teacher, playing both electric and acoustic guitar.
I've been playing guitar for over 35 years, and am just as passionate about it now as I was when I first picked it up. From day one I was obsessed with guitar playing and had the guitar in my hands as much as I possibly could, learning to play my favourite songs from my records!
Since graduating with a distinction from London's prestigious Guitar Institute in 1995, I have toured extensively in the UK and internationally with many different acts, playing a wide variety of musical styles. I have composed material for library music as well as doing session work. I spent several years on the guitar teaching faculty at The Institute Of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP) in London and I have taught across a wide range of age groups.
I am a regular contributor to the international guitar tuition publication, Guitar Techniques Magazine and I am also an artist for the online tuition platform, **Removed By Admin**, where some of my guitar tuition packages are available.

Tutoring Experience:

I have well over 25 years of professional playing and teaching experience, having taught extensively in both one to one and group/class environments. I have taught hundreds of students at all levels from beginners to professionals, and even other guitar teachers!
I hold a Guitar Institute Diploma (distinction) and also a PTLLS teaching qualification.

Tutoring Approach:

Learning to play a musical instrument should always be fun, so my lessons are relaxed and enjoyable. You can learn purely for pleasure, or I can help to prepare you for Rockschool grade examinations if you wish. I can teach you how to play acoustic and electric guitar throughout a huge range of musical styles, such as rock, blues, country, jazz, soul, funk and fingerpicking, and if you choose to have lessons at my home studio, you can also have fun plugging your guitar into pro quality amps and a whole bunch of cool effects pedals to inspire you further!

I teach students of all abilities, so whether you're a complete beginner, eager to learn your first chords, riffs and solos, or an experienced player, looking to improve your fretboard skills, improvisation techniques or delve deeper into the world of harmony, theory and modes, I can help you to achieve your guitar playing goals.

I treat all my students as individuals so you can be sure that your lessons will be centred around your needs and level and I will help you to develop technical and musical skills to enable you to play effectively and to enjoy your guitar playing journey.
I can identify the areas of your playing and technique that might need attention, and I will be able to give you the necessary advice and encouragement to help you to be able to fix and improve them by showing you how to practise properly to achieve the results you want.

I offer one to one lessons in person or via Skype/Zoom/WhatsApp/FaceTime etc from anywhere in the world!
