Personal Description:

Having studied music at Sussex University, I immediately became a professional musician and spent 30 years recording and touring the UK, Europe, the US and Japan with a variety of internationally acclaimed artists, playing bass, keyboards and guitar. He moved into production and session work, and continues to guest on bass and guitar with several bands.

Tutoring Experience:

About 10 years ago I started teaching in London’'s Denmark Street, taking on a wide of variety of bass and guitar pupils of most ages and abilities, and most genres. I moved to the South West a few years ago, and teaches both guitar and bass, taking several pupils successfully through the Trinity Rock and Pop exams.

Tutoring Approach:

From adult and young adult beginners and players wishing to expand their approach, to professionals learning a new skill or seeking a new direction, I feel I can give something to each student; an approach to learning both the instrument and repertoire, an understanding of theory if wanted (!), or coaching through national exams, including academic and theory exams. I don't teach primary school aged children.
