Personal Description:
I'm a professional jazz singer and commercial popular music vocalist with more than thirty years' performance experience. I trained as a classical singer in my home country of NZ before emigrating to the UK where I've lived, performed and taught privately since 2000.
Tutoring Experience:
I've been offering private one to one singing tuition since 2012, teaching from my home studio in Bedford. I now also teach online via Zoom.
Tutoring Approach:
Singing is a wonderful and fulfilling pastime that everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy. For some, the satisfaction may come from the simple things - whether it's having the confidence to sing in front of family and friends or to join in at an open mic session. For others, music may be a passion that is also a career path - from singer, songwriter, or musical theatre performer to actor, producer or teacher. I guide many of my students through the process of preparing for auditions, recording showreels or working their way through the examination system.
