Personal Description:

I am a professional violinist and tutor based in Heaton Mersey, who enjoys a diverse freelancing career and performs in a variety of classical concerts, arena gigs and theatre shows. I have recently completed a contract at the National Theatre with the award winning musical "Standing at the Sky's Edge" and performed as the lead violinist on a UK Tour with the band James.

You will be able to see me play alongside numerous ensembles such as Manchester Camerata, Carrot Production's Wallace and Gromit and Snowman orchestras, Manchester Collective, Kaleidoscope Orchestra, NEW Sinfonia.

I have also recorded backing strings on commercial recordings and can be heard on multiple classical and popular music albums and singles. Artists I have performed with include Lewis Capaldi, Sam Fender, Paloma Faith, Craig David, to name a few.

Tutoring Experience:

My experience includes several years of private tuition for both children and adults as well as group sessions in schools. I conducted numerous violin Show and Tell sessions for Primary Schools across the UK through Carrot Productions and in the past I have also put together improvisation work-shops for children with various levels of hearing loss and coordinated drama classes.

Tutoring Approach:

I base my approach on the needs and interests of each pupil, working together towards their own personal aims, including ABRSM Qualifications or exploring the instrument as a hobby. I am a positive and patient teacher who is keen in sharing all the experiences gained throughout my development as a violinist with the students and to create the perfect learning environment for all degrees of interest. Learning violin may be tricky at times but the secret is to make it as enjoyable as possible!
