Personal Description:

Andra is a professional violinist and enthusiastic music tutor based in Heaton Mersey, who enjoys a diverse freelancing career and who you will get to see performs in a variety of classical concerts, arena gigs and theatre shows around the UK and abroad. In the past year, alongside teaching violin in various schools and being part of many educational projects, Andra travelled across the UK and Europe on various tours with Carrot Productions (Snowman/Wallace and Gromit), Manchester Camerata (Romania and the Baltic countries), the band James as their lead violinist, as well as with the award winning musical "Standing at the Sky's Edge", lead violinist.

Andra performs regularly with Manchester Camerata, Manchester Collective, Kaleidoscope Orchestra, NEW Sinfonia, Up North Session Orchestra; artists include Lewis Capaldi, Sam Fender, Paloma Faith, Craig David, to name a few. Further, Andra can be heard on multiple classical and popular music albums and singles.

Tutoring Experience:

Andra's teaching experience includes almost a decade of: private tuition for both children and adults, group sessions in schools, teaching violin for various music services, conducted violin 'Show and Tell' sessions for Primary Schools across the UK, put together improvisation work-shops for children with various levels of hearing loss and coordinated drama classes.

Tutoring Approach:

A positive and patient teacher, Andra is keen in sharing all the experiences gained throughout her development as a violinist and to create the perfect learning environment for all degrees of interest. Learning violin may be tricky at times but the secret is to make it as enjoyable as possible!
