Information About Alison - Southampton teacher

Personal Description:

Hello! I love working as a clarinet, piano and theory teacher. I enjoy supporting, inspiring and encouraging my students as they learn new music skills and develop on their musical journey.

I am fully set up for teaching online.

I'm a highly skilled professional musician. Alongside my teaching practice I perform regularly as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. I'm also a qualified music therapist.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a highly experienced clarinet teacher working with both children and adults, and my students range from beginners through to beyond diploma standard. I have been teaching privately for over 20 years.

Some students may wish to work towards ABRSM or Trinity Music exams. I also work with musicians preparing for performances and auditions. I teach theory and general musicianship as well.

Tutoring Approach:

Core to my teaching approach is tailoring lessons for each individual student. We are all unique and have our own needs, responses and ambitions. Lessons are designed to be inspiring, motivating and fun, exploring a diverse range of musical styles.
