Personal Description:
I am an experienced cello and piano teacher, working as a freelance soloist and orchestral player. I trained at Royal Academy of Music and at postgraduate level at Guildhall College of Music and Drama. I also teach music theory, with particular experience preparing students for Grade 5.
Based in Islington, I generally teach at home. Fees start at £25 per half hour/£42 per hour, or termly rates for block bookings.

Tutoring Experience:
I have been teaching privately since 2003, and I am experienced with all ages and abilities from beginner to Grade 8+. I have also previously worked in schools as a special needs teacher and teaching assistant, where music was at the centre of my work.
Tutoring Approach:
I take a tailored approach depending on the student I'm working with. I have worked with a range of ages and abilities, including with adults and children with special needs, and advanced students. Generally, I aim to focus on the joy of making music as the centre of technical mastery - even scales can be creative and unique!
