Information About Alexander - Peckham teacher

Personal Description:

- I am a music business professional, working in music PR.

- I play regularly in Westminster Philharmonic Orchestra as well as Covent Garden Chamber Orchestra.

- I received a Masters degree from Westminster University in 2024 in Music Business Management and completed my undergraduate degree at Birmingham University in Music. I teach Double Bass and Music Theory, specialising in classical music.

- I have been playing the Double Bass for over 20 years and have been a part of NCO, NSSO, University of Birmingham Philharmonic, as well as taking performance module as part of my final year degree.

- Currently based in East Dulwich, I am willing to travel to students homes and students are also welcome to travel to me.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a private double bass tutor for the past 2 years, teaching friends and students around the local area.

Tutoring Approach:

- Whether you're a complete beginner or more experienced player, I will adapt lessons to your needs. Beginner to advanced - all abilities welcome!
- My lessons are tailored to each student's personal needs to make sure they get what they want out of each lesson.
- In lesson's, we will cover topics such as technique, sight-reading, ear training, improvisation, scales/arpeggios, knowledge of harmony and learning repertoire. My aim is to give students the tools and motivation they need to practice effectively and make quick progress on their instrument all while having fun.
