Personal Description:

Hi, my name is Alex and I am 23 years old. I am currently studying masters in Music I am really excited to further delve into teaching the subject. I am an outgoing person and have a strong ability to connect with both younger and older audiences. I am happy teach you from my home in Manchester (£20) or if you prefer I can travel to you (£20/£25 depending on distance).

I have been studying and performing music since a young age, and have been passionate about it ever since. I started out by playing the piano and by the age of 13 I began learning the Electric Guitar. Since then I have had many experiences performing both instruments in live and studio settings.

Personally, as a musician I am very involved in the Metal community, with me currently performing in a Progressive Metal band called Chiasmata. Nevertheless, through performance and composition, I have played in a variety of styles such as Indie, Rock, Jazz and Blues.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught a range of students of various ages and abilities for over 4 years. While some of my students went on to progress from complete beginners to strong intermediate players, others delved further into more advanced techniques and playing styles.

Tutoring Approach:

As your tutor, I will structure the lessons around you and your goals, whether that means passing Rockschool/ABRSM grades, developing specific techniques, learning to play within specific music genres or studying music theory. I am a very dedicated musician and take my musical development seriously, with that in mind I would strive to ensure that as my student, you are able to achieve your full potential.
