Information About Alex - Newton-le-Willows teacher
This is how 2 referees rated Alex:
I am a fun and personable guy who is highly passionate about all aspects of music. I'm very up front and genuine and you can trust me to give you everything you need out of your lessons.
RLHughes Primary School: Assisting MDs and giving performance direction to kids. Providing musical services to accompany these performances, getting children involved in the instrumental performance side of musicals.
Saint John Rigby College: Going back as an alumni I help students improve their compositions and performance portfolios ready for submission.
Salford University: In the higher levels of education, I assisted the university I studied at run workshops, showing college students how session musicians work in a more professional setting.
I specialise in teaching Blues, Soul, Jazz and improvisation. However, I am passionate about all music and have a good knowledge of the various techniques and musical theory that comes with most styles. I have a fun interchangeable approach in terms of my teaching style, working with both 16-18 year range students as well as working in primary schools. I have taken music grades throughout most of my life, so I have a strong sense of how to work with a student from both sides of the experience. Understanding that students aims and objectives can change drastically, depending on their age, is one of the main considerations I make when deciding how I approach teaching each and every lesson.
