Personal Description:

Alessandro Drummer

My name is Alessandro i'm italian and i'm a drummer. I started playing at the age of 11 while i was going to school, but after about a year on my own I started to follow a teacher. I attended almost all of them in Turin, practicing diligently and playing with as much as people as possible and all possible music styles, from smooth jazz to rock to Latin etc… In 2005, curious to know what there was abroad I moved to London studying drums and playing with people completely different from what I had played until then.
Over the years I played in virtually any kind of situations, from large stages and venues to small pubs, from recordings music singles to record full albums for various artists.
What has motivated me to move forward over the years is definitely the passion for music and the hunger to improve on the instrument.
I have literally spent thousands of hours studying, listening to music, emulating the greats and watching seminars and videos, and all of that has allowed me to be able to play with a certain confidence most musical genres.

Tutoring Experience:

I've got 10 years of experience in the teaching field, i'm really passionate, enduring, gentle, kind and i really care about my students. I'm currently teaching at Artpeggio's music school in Earl's Court.

Tutoring Approach:

My course will be divided in 5 core subjects, which are:
- Drum technique (hand technique, foot technique, independence)
- Sight reading (De agostini, Louie Bellson, Gary Chester)
- Styles (rock, funk, latin, jazz)
- Drum tuning (drumskins, drumshell, Tuning)
- Soloing (listening the great, put into practice)
