Personal Description:

For the last fifteen years I have been continuously working as a piano accompanist for ballet classes and contemporary dance classes for such organisations as: Academy of Northern Ballet, SLP Performing Arts College and Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds as well as various dance schools in Leeds and surrounding areas. Throughout my career I learned how to improvise, compose, quickly learn technical pieces and make arrangements of classical, pop and jazz music. As part of my job I provided piano accompaniment for numerous workshops at majority of primary and secondary schools across Yorkshire. By performing music every day I gained valuable experience and now I am ready to share it.

My patient instruction process will guide you through every step of your musical journey, from the basics of reading sheet music to advanced techniques and performance skills.

Tutoring Approach:

Several learning approaches are possible to ensure everyone has an opportunity to get to know this beautiful instrument in their own way. Here is a quick look at the different options you can choose: The ABRSM Piano Syllabus, The Rockschool Piano Syllabus, traditional method (learning classical/pop piano pieces), learning how to improvise. You can even learn how to use notation software or work with sheet music apps to learn how to play in whatever way suits you best.
Students get to play on the incredible Kawai K-600 acoustic piano. All lessons are family-friendly, and all ages are welcome!
Whether you are a beginner or a more experienced musician, each lesson is tailored to meet individual needs and goals. With hard work, anything is possible! Even though each practice session will challenge you, the environment is supportive and engaging to ensure each note, melody and song stays fresh and exciting.
