Personal Description:
I play British and North American tunes and songs on 5-string banjo, in clawhammer and bluegrass styles. I can teach you how to play Dueling Banjos in a safe environment. If you don't own a banjo you can try out one of mine (lesson only). I teach ukulele for beginners who want to strum accompaniments to songs, and those who want to go further and play melodies. I also teach folk guitar, esp. fingerpicking.
Tutoring Experience:
A lot of informal experience. Have been teaching on a paying basis since April 2016.
Tutoring Approach:
I teach in whatever way someone wants to be taught, at whatever speed they want to go. I can use sheet music, tabs, or learning by ear.

He is very patient and and gives great advice on my mistakes and how to correct them His lessons also include theory and printed material and has allowed me to video record them as reference material. I cannot give others a more glowing report. As a Tutor he is the consumate professional. Absolutely First Class… Those who want to learn Bluegrass or Claw hammer banjo… Look no further. He is the one.
