Personal Description:
Adam is a musician and music tutor who is based in Chelmsford. He’s been playing, performing and composing music since he was a child. After receiving his BA (hons) degree in Music he started teaching privately and as a peripatetic tutor in schools.
As well as private teaching, he also gives workshops in schools, performs in music venues and theatres and composes music for media.
Tutoring Experience:
Adam has been teaching for over 15 years. He has prepared many students for Trinity, ABRSM and Rockschool examinations, as well as music GCSE/A levels and music college/university auditions.
Adam teaches students from all ages and abilities, which includes those who wish to pursue music as a hobby as well as those who wish to develop their skills professionally.
He teaches in schools across Essex where he teaches both 1:1 and in small groups. As well as this he also provides music workshops for classes of up to 30 students.
In person or online tuition is available. Adam has an Enhanced DBS check.
Tutoring Approach:
Working with his students at achieving their own goals, he is able to make the lessons fun and enjoyable but at the same time keeping the lesson focused. Adam encourages students to practice as much as they can whether it’s working towards a graded exam or learning a song they like.
Lessons can include learning pieces, developing technique, sight reading, ear training, exam preparation and Music Theory.
