Information About Abhinav - Bloomsbury teacher - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Abhinav:
After playing the piano for 12 years, I have had over 2 years of experience teaching piano from beginner level to advanced. I completed my ABRSM Diploma in Piano Performance in 2014. I have also adjudicated the first round of the RIBI Young Musician Competition, won prizes at various music festivals (such as Northfield Festival, Dudley Music Festival, Birmingham Music Festival for Piano) and had piano master-classes from Martin Roscoe and Daniel Tong.
I have taught piano to numerous students, who have received merits and distinctions in their respective examinations. I have a long history in teaching both children and adults, having tutored for the 11+ exams and also for GCSE Maths, Chemistry and Physics.
According to the preference of each student, I will happily stick to an exam board syllabus, avoid this entirely, or offer some combination of the two. Lessons can involve: learning pieces, aural training, sight reading, scales & arpeggio practice, music theory and exam preparation. My experience as both a student and a teacher allows me to progress the learning of each student in a way that is both exciting and efficient, as well as inject my passion for the instrument into each lesson. Encouraging and advancing each student’s musical skills are equally important as teaching and learning in a fun and friendly way. I tailor the lessons to the individual, focusing on each student's strengths and areas for improvement in a highly supportive environment.
